Shipping & Parts Associate

Job Description

We are looking for 1-2 people to join our parts and shipping department. You will be a critical component in creating and helping boaters return to and stay on the water while working alongside several other individuals within the parts department. You will assist customers both nationally and internationally. We want someone that can learn and adapt fast while bringing new ideas to help continue to grow our parts department within the organization! We put our employees first, because we recognize that if our employees are happy, they will make our customers happy.

General Duties

  • Oversee shipping and parts areas
  • Complete all daily shipping needs
  • Assist customers on the phone and at the parts counter
  • Daily/Weekly parts reorder for stock and customer orders
  • Maintain inventory and parts room
  • Maintain a well-organized front counter area
  • Process and assist with any returns coming back in
  • Ensure all online/phone orders are processed and sent out timely
  • Able to multi-task while maintaining accuracy in a busy environment
  • Have a strong understanding of computers/computer programming to ensure you can quickly and effectively use all systems/databases.

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of parts counter experience encouraged
  • Cooperative and Team Player demeanor
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen & background check
  • Current Valid driver’s license
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required
  • Must have reliable transportation

Working Conditions

  • Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 9-5, Closed Weekends. Team members usually have a working schedule of 8:30-5:30pm.
  • Shop environment that may require kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting heavy objects.
  • May be asked to work more than 40 hours during busy season

Marine Technician

Job Description

Precision Marine is looking for 1-2 top technicians that can help launch our team to the next level. We are looking for someone to join our team to not only help here on-site but be a part of our growing mobile mechanic line. This person must know and understand Suzuki Outboard Engines.

As a Marine Technician at Precision Marine, you will enjoy multi-line training and certification, relaxed working environment, weekends off, and multiple growth opportunities.

The Marine Technician position is a key component in the service department’s customer satisfaction. The position-holder is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing new marine motors and accessories for customer, in a professional and timely manner that represents the quality image Precision Marine enjoys.

The successful candidate will be able to:
Diagnosis, Maintenance, Repower and Repair Suzuki engines and accessories:

  • Test, inspect, investigate, and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures on Suzuki units
  • Repair units in a manner to minimize unwarranted returns or create customer dissatisfaction.
  • Perform routine maintenance on Suzuki Engines
  • Perform safety inspection and recommend services
  • Prepare new units for delivery to customers.
  • Remove and replace OEM and aftermarket accessories and parts
  • Seek-out opportunities to generate revenue while performing maintenance
  • Perform lake tests as necessary

General Duties and Administration

  • Report labor hours to Service Manager
  • Compile and submit parts requests to the Parts Manager
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area
  • Actively pursue and participate in continuing education activities

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years marine technical work (Suzuki knowledge preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of Suzuki motor mechanics
  • Two years’ experience as a Marine Mechanic- preferably specializing in Suzuki
  • Manufacturer certification or MMI graduate preferred
  • Able to interpret complex instructions and/or specification
  • Knowledge and practice of shop safety procedures
  • Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity
  • Driver’s License (Required)

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday; hours will vary of scheduled shifts (7:30am-5:30pm)
  • Shop environment that may require kneeling, bending, climbing, twisting, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Mobile division will require driving and working remote
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours during busy season
